Is it expensive? How much does it cost a dinner for two??
Just WOW. My wife and I ate here for dinner over our anniversary in NYC and this was by far the best Italian food I've ever tasted. Amazing selection, HUGE portions, and awesome staff that not only know how to provide good service, but know everything about what they are selling. I will definitely make a trip back here again!
MoreGreat happy hours drinks. Food was delicious. Services was nice. Eating experience was good. I went there with friend. Dessert was delicious.
MoreWent for the first time with my friends about two months ago and I was blown away. I loved the decor of the restaurant and the service was excellent. Staff was very friendly and the food was really good. I especially liked the strawberry short cake it was excellent. Definitely recommend!!
MoreFood is excellent. Nice selections. Great flavor. The issue with this restaurant is customer service. We had a reservation. When we checked in on time with our entire party, we were told they were not ready and had to wait outside in cold. We were not offered any apologies. We could not enjoy the bar area prior to our seating. There are other restaurants in area that offer both great service and food.
MoreCarmines was super busy but we were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation. The calamari and fried zucchini were amazing... done perfectly!! The food and service was fast and very good. I would definitely recommend this place but make reservations.
MoreCame here by chance a week ago and enjoyed it.It's such a chill spot that's lively and comfortable for a small bite and hanging out with friends over drinks.
MoreAn absolutely authentic family style Italian meal. This was my second visit and everything tasted just as good as I remembered. This is a great restaurant for large groups with big appetites. I would say that this is a must stop location. And I’d recommend the Cesar Salad to anyone eating here.
MoreWent there for my birthday celebration. Was pleased with every aspect of the food except for our waitress . She was an older lady who was basically MIA. Three tables who came after us were served before us and she never came to check on us. But the food was GREAT
MoreStraight up old school family style Italian goodness. Come to eat as the portions are massive. Waitstaff is really friendly. The calamari was so tasty...perfectly fried. The shrimp Diablo was really good. It had enough heat to it, although I wanted a bit more punch. All in all, Carmine's delivers.
MoreAmazing service and great food. Such a warm feeling when you walk in, and the smell is great too. I tried the Eggplant marmigiana And it was to die for. Only thing that could improve would be cleanliness but that’s just because I’m ocd haha
MoreThe Chicken Marsala with spinach was so so good..The salads are up to the sky, huge .and family style, 10 stars for sure... Larger or smaller portions, you got it.. Delicious food. Wonderful night with a great staff of people.. Thank you Peter, u are the best. .Cant wait to return...
MoreCarmine's was a pleasure to eat at on New Year's Eve 2019. The service was attentive and consistent. The Christmas decorations were incredible and features red decorated columns and huge wreaths. The old-timey music added to the effect of Christmas in New York City. The portions of food were huge and full of flavour. The price also didn't reflect the quality and atmosphere of the setting, as it was cheaper than expected. Would definitely go again!
MoreThis place obviously knows how to serve their clients. Regularly with a nice approach. The food is reasonably priced, constantly delightful and neat.
MoreBeen here several times with friends and family who visit and they always love it! Little mom n pop places like this are what make SF restaurants so great. Gret Cioppino! Hope it stays exactly the same forever!
MoreVery memorable Italian food. Massive portions to share. Wonderful environment. Excellent staff. Make reservations, if you can. We waited a while for a table, but well worth it!
MoreWe were in NYC. For 3 night, tried a couple times to get in. Reserved for last night ....it was so worth the wait! Food was outstanding, service was friendly and helpful. We weren't in a hurry.....wanted to savour the experience. Great value....$180. For. 3 of us...including a great bottle of wine "duck horn". Caesar salad and seafood pasta - plenty for all of us.
MoreExcellent place to pop into before and after the theatre. We went in before and after our matinee of Phantom of the Opera. Food is delicious. Be prepared for big plates. One dish would probably be enough between two. Drinks reasonably priced for Times Square. Staff friendly and always ready to fill your drinks.
MoreThe absolute best Italian food in NYC! Never a bad meal here. Amazing service in a tasteful setting.
MoreWe love Carmine's! The food is always outstanding, and the service is always second to! The portions are huge and they are served family style, so come hungry! When though it is a chain, each, and we have eaten at has so far surpassed any expectations you would have for a chain --- Everything tastes fresh and authentic, and the servers and managers actually DO care about your experience! I wish there was a Carmine's closer to my home! Try it -- You will love it!
MoreWOW!!! Place is awesome, the food, prices, service, decorations it's one of the best places I've been for happy hour. Came yesterday with a few coworkers that have been talking about the happy hour, it didn't disappoint. Our server Keelee was awesome, the whole place was packed and she always took the time to make sure we had everything we needed. I was impressed, I eat out often and it's rare to find attentive, genuine, customer service.
MoreWent here for a family birthday with reservations for party of 8. Seated on time. I was so skeptical of this place (born and raised new yorker) and was worried it was a tourist trap. I am SO happy to say- it was one of the better meals i have had in nyc! Portions are huge- family style so bring friends. Calamari, baked clams, green salad appetizers and seafood linguine+ spaghetti meatballs w sauce , lemon chicken (INCREDIBLE)side of spinach for entrees. All were DELICIOUS. The service was great, all the food came out timely, and we left very satisfied. Would go back with a party of 8+ any day!!!
Moreabsolutely love Carmines! delicious Italian food, great service, all workers are very professional.
MoreVery good. They give you really big portions. One order can feed 2 people. Don't order too much. It's super busy because of the Time Square crowd, otherwise the food is pretty good.
MoreWhat a great experience. It was our wedding anniversary and we drove in from the east bay to do take out. We have been coming here for years. First time for takeout. Food was fresh, packaged nicely complete with giant bibs for our cioppino. Had a wonderful conversation with the owners and they ended up gifting us a bottle of Prosecco for our anniversary.
MoreThis is a family style restaurant, so know that going in since I didn’t! The plates are big, so you’d think they lack flavor, but not at all! The salad was so good, it’s up in the top salads I’ve consumed, and was prefect with the dishes we ordered. Good was presented extremely well and tasted even better! Go here if you get a chance, just make sure you have a few people to help eat it all!
MoreGreat spot to grab food when in a rush. The customer service is speedy, rates are convenient, great character. Would recommend to others
MoreAwesome ambience and very friendly service. The food was crisp and delicious. Will absolutely recommend this place to friends. Convenient rates and large meals. Keep up the great work.
MoreOrdered from this place via Slice with the request to have it "very well done, real crispy like." Most pizza places don't understand what I mean when I say that, I mean WELL DONE. La Bellezza delivered on it. When I walked in for my pickup order it was ready to go and crisped to perfection. Great buffalo chicken slice, crust was dynamo. I will definitely be coming back to try other crispy slices.
MoreWe went to carmines restaurant for a recommendation of a friend, the place was big, it was too busy, it was lunch time, and for me was very noise, we ordered pasta with shrimps with marinara sauce it was very delicious, good price but too muchhhh for one person, you need to share, friendly staff but he didn’t explain about the big portions of the food. I was there whit my family and we enjoyed then so much. I asked a lobster. The plates came whit a lot of food, really full, fresh and great. They remainds me a Italy. I'll return as soon as possible.
MoreDelicious Italian food served family style is perfect for small and large groups just off Time Square. Service was efficient and professional. Desserts looked wonderful if you have room after your meal. We didn't! Excellent wine selection too. The cavernous restaurant was packed so reservations are recommended.
MoreJust moved to the neighborhood and I stopped here for a snack while shopping in Valencia. Delicious empanadas, amazing selections of meat or veggie options. If you're vegan like me they do have a few options so you're good! Service was very friendly. Seems like a family run spot. Will definitely be back for lunch or snacks next time I'm on a walk.
MoreAwesome Italian food in NY!!Warning, most of the menu items are not for individual order. It’s all pretty much platter serving. So you and 3-4 of your friends could enjoy 1 order of the spaghetti. And everything on the menu is great! We have dined here many times. A must stop for us every time we are in the big city.
MoreAlways top here when I can. Excellent Italian food. Nothing fancy, just food food. It was an unusually hot day so the room was hot since they don't have AC. First time I was uncomfortably warm, but made up for it with excellent Ciopino, crab salad, and Bay Scallop linguini.
MoreFirst time here & I loved it! We had ravioli & steak with roasted potatoes & roasted vegetables. Delicious! We did not have dessert because we were full & it was late. The place was very busy for a Tuesday night-had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Will definitely be back!
MoreWas a standby when I lived in SF. Any of the fish plates are delicious served with local vegetables but my absolute favorite is the linguini with seafood. The ideal balance of salty, sweet, creamy, and buttery. Perfection!
MoreHad a reservation for 9:PM. Got seated at 10:15. Made res 3 months in advance. Food was mediocre at best. Went to one in Bahamas, and was okay. Was excited thinking one in NYC would be great. More of a tourist attraction with giant portions of just okay food. Everyone was annoyed after long wait.
MoreAttentive server and minimal wait with reservation booked. Centrally located to all the theaters. Food is abundantly large portioned designed to feed a crowd family style. Delicious and felt home cooked with a restaurant flair... perfect! Will be returning but will make sure to leave room for dessert.
MoreSuch great food. They give you really big portions sizes because it's family style so be prepared to have extra food. Thsy get extremely busy so I would book a reservation if you want a secured spot.
MoreIt was absolutely manic in there and If you don’t book expect a long wait, however it is 100% worth it. Portion sizes are huge! We shared the Sunday special (consisting of 4 different dishes) between 6 of us and a side salad and it done all of us and more! Food is delicious and authentic. Service was also good. We all said it was our favourite meal of our break and if we ever came back to NYC we would go back again.
MoreMust make reservations, and then expect to wait another 30min to get a table. But totally worth it! Food and drinks begin to flow in reasonable time. Should be enjoyed by a small group of 4-6 to get half decent sample of great food and desserts. A must visit if you're in NYC.
MoreI come here every year for a christmas reunion with my friends and food and service is always top notch! Been going there close to 10 years strong. There is a second location, i forget the exact location but Times square is the better of the two.
MoreWas originally unaware that the restaurant was family style, however, that being said it was fantastic! The fried zucchini appetizer was amazing and the Sunday pasta medley special was great! Make sure you go with people who have a similar taste pallet as you'll be ordering together. Eric was great and really helped us out when our table wasn't ready until 25 minutes after our reservation time. Definitely make a reservation if this is a must!
MoreAfter many attempts to getting a table here, I finally had the chance to do dinner. Though the house is always packed, and lines are out the door, I still think this is a five star establishment. The service is excellent, their servers are knowledgable of the menu and make great recommendations, and the food is super tasty! I really enjoyed the burrata mushroom appetizer and the chorizo pizza. I also tried a few of their cocktail drinks. So far I've liked them all!! Great drink lists paired with some fine food! :)

MoreFirst time visit and let me tell you super amazing!! Food was fantastic and tasted just like my Nonna's *grandma* cooking. So much food and our waiter Edwin was just awesome, prompt, and helpful. A must go and bring an appetite or extra mouths. This only gives 5 stars but it deserves 10. Can't wait to come back.
MoreCarmine's is a family style restaurant meaning the plates are meant to be shared. The server will recommend how many people the dish will provide for. Most of them are for 3-4 people and can go up to 6. Reservations are highly recommended at any time. You may be able to grab a table if you are looking for a spot for two or less at the bar. The servers are very attentive, informative, and helpful finding a dish you will enjoy. Don't forget to check out what specials they have for the day.
MoreThis is the best pasta restaurant in the city! We had their Greek Pizza and Pepperoni, and both were amazingly delicious! My friends and I dine here last night because one of our friends was celebrating her birthday yesterday. The place was bright and well-customized. The chairs and sofa are perfect! They also do deliveries!
MoreGREAT FOOD. AND AMAZING PRICE. their food is served “family size” so ordering 1 dish could feed 2 REALLY hungry people, or 3 regularly hungry people. Highly recommend. Great food. Great location. Great price.
MoreThe food is amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful. This is my second time going and I brought my family this time, they also enjoyed it. The wait was not bad for not having reservations, however it seemed they didn't have enough waiters/waitresses working the day we were there. The first time I went they were more prompt in serving us. I would still return despite this one issue because everything else was good.
MoreGreat Italian restaurant in / near Times Square. Large portions as they serve family style...and they are LARGE! Two of us split the one plate and we were not able to finish it all. Atmosphere was nice and service was good.
